Should I buy a Pacific Drum Set?
My friend owns a 5 piece drum set that he bought approximately 5 yrs ago. They are pacific drums but, he’s never even used them. They are practically new and maybe used once or twice. He said he’s selling them for 400 dollars with cymbals, hardware and everything because he never uses them. The thing is I was wondering why his drum set doesn’t have a series indicator somewhere on it like the new sets do. Could it possibly be because they’re 5 yrs old? Or are they fake? Oh and this would be my first drum set as a beginner.
About the the series issue, you could be right. that is really not a big issue unless you were paying too much for a cheap series of drum. Like $1000 for a $600 set.
But $400 for a complete set of drums and hardware is a great price. I say you go ahead a get them. You are a beginner anyway and don’t need a $1500 set of Ludwig or Tama or whatever. For a beginner drums are drums. As long as they make a noise you are fine. Besides, Pacific drums are child company of DW drums. Kind of like how Epiphone guitars are basically cheaper Gibsons. Perfectly fine for a beginner or even an advanced player.
