Can I use my Rockband 1 Stuff With Rockband 2?

I have Rock band 1 for PS2 with the drums, kick pedal, guitar and mic. I want to buy Rock band 2 just the game, can i use all my rock band 1 instruments with Rock band 2, all for PS2? If you could please list your sources so i can double check before i purchase it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys!
