can u use rock band 2 instriments with ghwt(xbox 360)?

i saw the combatibility chart but its the drums im worried about if i need cymbals for ghtw i know that it has 2 cymbals 3 drum pads and a foot pedal when rock band 2 comes with 4 drums and NO cymbal(s) and 1 foot pedal so whats the deal it says all of the rb2 instriments are compatible when ghtw has more drum accesories (stock)

The drums wont work very well and if your lucky enough for them to work you’ll always miss a beat.The guitar will work just not as good as with the original game.
