How to play Game Boy advance on a MacBook Pro?

I know there are things called emulators that can play game boy games on computers, but I have a mac, I found one called boycott downloaded before, but every time I download the ROM will not play, any help

Try Visual Boy Advance, which supports more games than any other GBA emulator that I've seen (though no longer used because it is illegal to use GBA emulators:-P)
